Eurostars 3 (Partnership on Innovative SMEs) – Call 9 is open

Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded  by the European Union through Horizon Europe. Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and project partners by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. By participating, organisations can access public funding for international collaborative R&D projects in all fields.

Eurostars 3 – Call 9 was launched on 4 July 2025. Deadline for submission of proposals is 4 September 2025, 14:00, Brussels time.

Rules for Czech Applicants

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) will support successful Czech applicants and their projects with the amount of €500 000, maximum amount per project is €300 000. Only small or medium enterprises (SMEs) can be the main applicants. Research organizations can participate as other project partners. Large companies are not eligible for funding and may only participate in projects as self-funded partners. 

Funding rules for the Czech applicants are defined by a funding programme SIGMA, sub-objective 4. 

Project Consortia

Project consortia must consist of at least 2 partners from at least 2 Eurostars countries. The project consortium is led by an innovative SME from a Eurostars country. The budget of the SMEs from a Eurostars country, excluding subcontracting, is 50% or more of the total project cost. 

Call Topics

Topics of the call are not predefined. Projects must have an exclusive focus on civil applications.
