Parenthood and limited opportunities for reconciling work and personal life are among the most critical factors that limit participation of primary caregivers, who in the Czech environment are still predominantly women, in research activities and contribute to their leaving science. To mitigate these negative effects of parenthood on research careers, we offer flexible arrangements for researchers who go on maternity or parental leave during the course of the project. The following document (only available in Czech) specifies the current conditions offered by TA CR and recommended procedures. These include the possibility of handing over and reassuming the principal investigator position and extending the project implementation period. As further specified in the document, in TA CR projects, it is also possible to include among the personal costs the costs of allowance for the care of children and close persons who are dependent on the care of the persons involved in the project.
