The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) wishes to inform on the preparation of the 17th call of the Programme for applied research and innovation SIGMA – Sub-objective 2, Early-stage researchers and equal of opportunities in applied research projects – Industrial Chairs (hereinafter referred to as the „SIGMA Programme – Sub-objective 2, Industrial Chairs”).
The launch of this call for proposals is planned for 24 June 2026.
The call for proposals is aimed at supporting the recruitment and long-term retention of internationally recognized applied research experts within research organisations, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SIGMA Programme – Sub-objective 2, Industrial Chairs.
The objective is to support changes within research organisations that lead to a greater practical application of results, by funding the work of a team centered around a lead researcher with international experience and networks.

Further information and the specific conditions for participation shall be published in the call documentation on the day of the launch of the public call.
The 17th Call for Proposals of the SIGMA Programme will be announced in the TA CR shared information system – SISTA. Please note that all calls for proposals will be announced in SISTA only. To submit a project proposal, applicants must meet the new technical requirements of the system. This includes registering their organization and designating an administrator. Without completing the organization registration and adding administrators, it will not be possible to submit a project proposal or receive public funds for applied research projects.
